Thank you for visiting the Tiny Whoop Go MLL Euro Winter League. Below you will find all the information about the league, which was created with the Europe Tiny Whoop Community.

How to enter:

To enter the league, you are required to live within Europe (the continent) and have posted a time on the MLL-EWL Time Trial Track. A pilot can enter the league at any time.
Once a time has been posted, a pilot will be given a division, and will be invited to all events.

Dates, and format, of the League:

The league will start on Friday 6th November 2020, with the last race scheduled be the Friday 26th March 2021.

The MLL EWL race events will run every fortnight.

Divisions will be created 15 minutes before the event, and will be posted in Discord: TinyWhoop UK Server. These will be based on the current time posted on the Leaderboard..

The track will be released 1.5 hours before the main race. Pilots will have up to 15 minutes before the Race Starts. At which point all pilots should be in the pits of their assigned division, waiting to race.

The minimum pilots allowed to race in any division, of a MLL Euro Winter League Event, will be three {3}.

Should a division contain less than the minimum, that division, will be moved up to another division so that a division will have a maximum of eight {8}, and minimum of three {3}, pilots. This would be called an adjusted division race. It is hoped we will not need to use it.

Points collected on an adjusted League Race event will be added based on position, starting at eight 8 points for the fastest time, and 7 points for the second fastest time etc. These will then be applied to the actual division the pilots moved came from.

Pilots from each division will be invited to a League Race Event, it’s up to the pilot whether they attend, and the race will begin on time, and those that are Green in the pits will be officially entered into the race.

The event will start with two seeding rounds, which will then put the pilots in order from the fastest in Pit One {1} moving down, on the main race, ordered based on times posted on completion of the seed qualifying rounds. These are not scored, and will not go towards your score on the leader table.

Following the first two seeding races will be the main races. Here there will be four {4} races of either three {3}, or two {2}, laps in per round. Races will not continue beyond five {5} minutes, at which point the race will end whether all pilots have finished, or not. Pilots that do not finish will not post a score.

Rules of TWGOEWL20/21:

  1. Pilots will be added into their assigned division on each race event.
  2. The drone to be flown is the Micro TWF, without exception. Failure to comply will result in a 1 minute penalty added to your league average time.
  3. There are only 8 slots within a division.
    1. If you are invited, but are unable to make it, please contact lazy@mrlazylegs.com.
  4. How divisions are created:
    1. Divisions will be created based on the leaderboard of the Track to be raced on for that event.
    2. No more than eight {8} pilots can be in any division.
  5. How Event divisions are managed:
    1. Before each MLL EWL event the track will be open for 1 hour 30 minutes for pilots to post a time. 15 Minutes before the start of the seeding rounds the leaderboard will be exported.
    2. The exported leaderboard will be divided into groups of eight (8) starting from the top moving down. Each group will be a division, starting with Division One (1), which will be the fastest eight (8).
    3. Pilots will be added into their division by the Race Manager, and divisions will be posted in Discord, as well as called out before the start of seeding.
    4. Division adjustments may be determined, at the discretion of the Race Manager.
    5. Should any division race event need to be adjusted due to less than three {3} pilots attending, they will be moved to a higher league.
  6. How League Divisions are managed:
    1. The league is based on average time over each round, four {4} rounds in each event.
    2. Should a pilot miss a round, a 5 second penalty is added to their average. If an event is missed fifteen {15} seconds will be added to their average time.
    3. During each event, the slowest lap logged by each pilot will be ignored, leaving the average to be based on the top 3 fastest rounds.
    4. Based on the average, pilots will be listed in a table from lowest average time, and divided into eight {8}, creating the divisions.
  7. There is no fee to take part in the event. Prizes will be sent out 1st Class Royal Mail within 3 working days of the event.
  8. All pilots should be on Discord during a league race event. It is not required that a pilot have voice enabled, as text updates will be available.
  9. All pilots must be in the pits five {5} minutes before the start of the seeding races, and will be offically created within the ESPORTS system three {3} minutes before the start, ready for the first heat to start on time.
    1. If you are unable to make it in the pits on time, you will not be included. We have a strict timetable to meet. The race director cannot be held responsible should a pilot miss their race.
  10. Prizes will be sent based on the official “final leaderboard” results, per division, which will be made public after the final on the 26th March 2021.
    1. Each division will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, named trophy, and a small prize.
    2. A pilot must have taken part in no less than 75% of the league to qualify for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, position in the league.
      1. Should a pilot be placed in a prize giving position but not meet the 80%, they will lose their position and be moved down.
    3. Prizes, and trophy, will be sent out within 18 days from the 26th March 2021.
    4. Prizes, and trophies, boxes sent within the UK, will be sent First Class Royal Mail. Those sent to Europe will be sent 2nd Class, via Royal Mail.
    5. Signatures will be required on all Prize and trophy boxes.
  11. The event will be live streamed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch, and to make the broadcast as fun, and informative, as possible we will be hosting in the Pilots Channel within Discord. Please encourage a bad language free zone. Failure, and multiple requests to stop using bad language will result in being removed from Discord, and the league.
  12. It is the race controllers aim, and role, is to ensure the event is fun, friendly, competitive, and most of all, fair.
